Lewis Builders recently completed a project at the Creed Waste Management Facility, Stornoway- whereby the excess energy from the constrained 300kW wind turbine was utilised and converted to heat energy for use in the existing waste process and the proposed new fish waste process. For this project we were the Principal Contractor and worked with the Consulting Design Engineer to bring the project to a satisfactory conclusion. We engaged and managed a number of specialist subcontractors and utilised our own Electrical and Plumbing craftsmen’s for the installation work along with the Civil and Building division for the external groundwork and civil engineering aspects for the project.
